Amani Roberts (DJ AmRo) is a professional DJ, music
producer,
entrepreneur, and thought leader based in Los Angeles.
A student of music since learning the saxophone at a very young
age, Amani’s musical knowledge spans numerous decades and
crosses multiple genres. Initially, Amani put his musical
career
on pause to pursue a traditional career path in corporate
America.
After moving to various cities and working his way up the
corporate ladder in the hotel industry, Amani decided to pursue
his dream in becoming of DJ.
In June 2013, Amani Roberts graduated from the
internationally
renowned Scratch Academy DJ school. This intense year-long
program (which is the equivalent to DJ College) has elevated
the
skill set of Amani in an immense way. This allowed him to
create
his premium DJ agency, The Amani Experience. Amani returned to
Scratch Academy in 2015 and completed their Music Production
program. In the past three years, Amani and his team have
produced remixes for artists such as Kehlani, Little Big Town,
Niia and Camila Cabello.
Amani and his team of DJs specialize in not only weddings,
private
parties, and experiential events, but also corporate meetings
and
team-building seminars. Rethinking corporate America as a space
where interactive and experiential team-building exercises can
strengthen bonds and build trust, Amani uses music and
creativity
to help teams forge deeper connections.
